THEATRE
Spring 2016
BEFORE I LEAVE
A brand new, musical play by Tredegar-born poet and playwright Patrick Jones. A choir of men and women with dementia find themselves clashing, and bonding, over one of the defining stories of south Wales – the 1984 miners' strike – while also struggling to keep the choir alive amidst all the challenges of today's Britain. A moving and ultimately uplifting new work featuring covers of well-known songs by artists ranging from Tom Jones to the Sex Pistols, and a new, title track by Nicky Wire and James Dean Bradfield of Manic Street Preachers.
